Meet The founder

About Skylar Le

I am a current student at Carlmont High School and am passionate about solving issues related to teen mental health, gender equality and social justice. As founder of Divine Femininity, a clothing brand dedicated to raising awareness for victims of domestic violence through uplifting messages, I manage the website, social media and merchandising. My goal for the brand is to use the majority of the profits towards supporting women's shelters across the Bay Area.

I am a certified mindfulness leader and President of Student Offering Support (SOS) at Carlmont High School, where I coordinate with school faculty to ensure students receive both peer and professional counseling when needed. In this role, I run conflict mediation between students and teachers, and speak to incoming freshmen about a variety of topics affecting teens including mental health, addiction and managing class workload. I also hold an officer position with the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) through the City of Belmont, where I have led campaigns to help raise awareness for more mental health programs across schools in the area and beyond. I am also a Social Media Coordinator and Content Contributor for Dr. Jonathan Terry, a board-certified osteopathic physician and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

One day, I hope to pursue a career that will enable me to make a positive impact on the healthcare system in the areas of public policy and mental health advocacy. When I'm not in class or volunteering, I babysit my 7 year old brother, get lost in some good fictional reading or play jigsaw puzzles. My favorite book of all time is ‘My Year of Rest and Relaxation’.
